As I've stated in my bio, I am a publicist for great clients. This also includes support on a volunteer basis for a great local children's theatre where my daughter enjoys taking classes - Genesis Children's Theatre. Genesis is participating in the North Texas Giving Day, which is an exciting day for participating North Texas nonprofits, as all donations of $25 and up are matched!! Here's my press release supporting Genesis. Please consider supporting your favorite charities on this day.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GENSIS CHILDREN’S THEATRE TO PARTICPATE IN NORTH TEXAS GIVING
DAY
Plano
theatre for children excited for the opportunity to reach more kids interested
in theatrical arts
PLANO, TX (August 10,
2013) –Genesis
Children’s Theatre, a small, Plano-based nonprofit offering drama programs and theatre
productions for students ages 5-18, announced it has been selected to
participate in the North Texas Giving Day. Organized by the Communities
Foundation of Texas, North Texas Giving Day is an annual one-day fundraising
event which has raised more than $35 million (and growing) for local charities
in Dallas/Fort Worth since 2009.
This
year’s North Texas Giving Day will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from
7:00 AM to midnight. All charities participating will receive “bonus funds” or
matched funds for each $25 or more donation received through DonorBridge, and
prizes will be awarded including most increased number of donors, best
integrated marketing campaign, and “Golden Tickets” randomly drawn every hour
from the list of nonprofits who received donations during that hour. Anyone
with a credit card and the Internet can log onto www.donorbridgetx.org, select their charity, and
donate.
“We’re so
excited to be selected to participate in North Texas Giving Day” said Neicole
Woodall, Executive Director of Genesis Children’s Theatre. “The funds we raise
could allow us to bring in new talented teachers and directors, offer
scholarships to underprivileged children, and help introduce more children to
the theatrical arts.”
