Icepocalypse

34
It's an Ice Day here in the DFW metroplex, or "Icepocalypse" as I've been calling it. School is canceled, restaurants are closed, and annual holiday events have been X'ed. They even canceled the Dallas Marathon! We are all expected to stay in our homes for the next 48 hours due to horrible road conditions and extreme temps. Which means last night, grocery store shelves looked like this:

Not a joke. I took this with my phone.
And here are what some of the trees look like in my yard. I really hope they make it:

Please don't die trees.

In no way am I  complaining or being facetious about the seriousness of Icepocalypse. I mean, I probably could not get out of my driveway right now if I tried. But it's not supposed to get above freezing until sometime Sunday... and I'm just not sure how much of this 24/7 family togetherness I can take. Hello, Mother Nature. I have Christmas shopping to do!
