Is it vacation time yet? My kids keep asking me and so does my brain. As I sit in my driveway on this beautiful 80-degree Texas day, with Kenny Chesney singing songs of island dreams, I can imagine waves lapping the shore at my feet. 38 days.
38 days until I can see the sea shore. Although this summer we're headed to Florida again, my favorite sea shore is that of St John, USVI (U.S. Virgin Islands.) The Virgin Islands (both U.S. and British) are hands-down the most beautiful places I've ever been. St. John's unspoiled beaches and quaint downtown have stolen my heart, and the BVI's quirky little beach bars have become my favorite hangouts. I've never written a blog about the Virgin Islands, mainly because I haven't been since I started blogging. (It's on the travel plan for 2015 though.) But today, because I'm island dreamin', I thought I'd share my favorite photos from my visits to St. John and the Virgin Islands. Enjoy!

One of my favorite pictures of all time. A sailboat in White Bay at Jost Van Dyke. The water is so beautiful and clear, you can see the boat's reflection on the bottom of the ocean.
